Wednesday WOW – Tapestry Weaving

I feel so lucky that I get to watch the Hauraki Gulf change everyday from our new home, and it still thrills me when I see the volcanic cone that is Rangitoto Island standing watch over Auckland. It has started me thinking about tapestry weaving, and techniques to ‘draw’ pictures while loom weaving. It takes me back to my painting days, when I was inspired to paint landscapes that were both illustrative and abstract.

I adore this YouTube video of a stunning tapestry being created. Mind blowingly beautiful stuff. I wish I knew the name of the artist.
